During the tour, you should definitely stop at the bathing area in Mönkeberg. It's right on the way and it's worth taking a short dip, putting your feet in the water or simply jumping in on a hot day. The route then continues towards Heikendorf. Just before the village, a small mermaid sits on the shore, which is easy to miss if you are travelling too fast. However, it's definitely worth taking a quick look or a short break. Sailing boats and sometimes large ships cross the fjord here. The route then continues past the submarine memorial and the saviour statue to the new beach promenade in Heikendorf. A restaurant and ice cream parlour await you here, right on the route. Perfect for a scoop of ice cream, a snack or simply something cool to drink.
