Farmers' and regional market
Fresh, regional and full of flavour - the farmers' and regional market in Kiel invites you to discover and taste! Regional producers present their products on Holstenplatz and in the city centre: from fresh fruit and vegetables to cheese, bread and honey to handmade products from the region. A colourful supporting programme with live music and activities rounds off the weekend. On Sunday, the shops also open for a relaxed shopping spree.
That was the highlight on the town hall square
On show in Kiel for the first time
The straw figures of the Probsteier Korntage
Visitors marvelled at straw figures from the Probstei region and enjoyed products from Kiel and the surrounding area.
Local suppliers presented themselves in the regional window, supported by the Fördekooperation, the inter-municipal association of the City of Kiel and the surrounding municipalities.
At the same time, the Ministry of Agriculture organised an organic consumer market as part of the first Organic Action Week, which brought the diversity of organic products from the state to life.
Here you could discover and sample organic products from Schleswig-Holstein and, of course, take them home with you. Whether savoury or sweet - there was something for every taste: juicy organic burgers from regional Galloway beef, delicious vegetarian alternatives, freshly brewed coffee, homemade cakes and a selection of vegan organic spreads.
There were also exciting insights from the Solawi Schinkeler Höfe, who presented the concept of community-supported agriculture - an idea that connects producers directly with consumers.
the youngest guests were also catered for: in the colouring corner with colourful farm motifs, children could give free rein to their creativity.
On Sunday from 6 p.m. it was time to go! The bales of straw were there for everyone to take away - only the artistic figures remained on site, of course.
