Kiel is a colourful city – and that’s exactly what we’re here to celebrate together! Kiel-Marketing and kulturgrenzenlos e. V. warmly invite you to a new edition of “PlatzKultur” on Holstenplatz. A carefree day full of encounters, international sounds and community spirit awaits you right in the heart of the city. Armed with a picnic blanket and high spirits, let’s fill Holstenplatz with life and culture together.
An overview of the PlatzKultur programme
This varied event brings together people from all cultures and generations. It kicks off with a relaxed potluck picnic: you can bring your own treats or enjoy light snacks on site, whilst laid-back background music from around the world creates the perfect feel-good atmosphere. For younger visitors and anyone who loves to play, there are creative hands-on activities and various play equipment, inviting everyone to try things out and get active together.
As evening falls, Holstenplatz transforms into an atmospheric open-air cinema. Moving short films and a cinematic highlight are shown on a large LED screen, prompting reflection, opening up new perspectives and reflecting the diversity of society.
