The Ocean Race 2023 Kiel Fly-By
Review: Sailing right on the Kiel Line
On Friday, June 9, 2023, The Ocean Race, one of the toughest regattas around the globe, was in the Kiel Fjord for the Kiel Fly-By. The turning mark for The Ocean Race Kiel Fly-By was directly in front of the Kiel Line, so that spectators were able to experience the spectacular turn of the ocean racers live and up close.

That was the Fly-By 2023
35.000 spectators directly in the Ocean Live Park, 60,000 people along the Kiellinie and a total of 120,000 fans along the 7 km of coastline at the best viewing spots on the west and east shore known from Kiel Week. 45.000 visitors in the Ocean Live Park alone, calculated over the entire day up to and including the evening concert on the RADIO BOB! Stage and DJ music on the Sustainable Bay Stage.
There was also a varied supporting program in Ocean Live Park on the Kiellinie from 8 - 10 June. The focus here was on sailing and, above all, sustainability, which connects the marine conservation city of Kiel and The Ocean Race. In addition to extensive food offerings, visitors were able to enjoy various sailing-related events and an entertaining stage program including live streaming and moderation.
