"Kerle" was born from the question "Why are there sooo many shops in Kiel where men prefer to wait outside while the girls want to spend half the day inside? The concept: gift articles for (supposedly) male interests - with wit and originality.
Holtenauer Straße
A very special corner that invites you to browse and shop is Holtenauer Straße. Here, souvenir shops, fashion shops, bakers and market shops as well as cafés and retailers are lined up next to each other. The resulting colourful hustle and bustle invites you to take a stroll through the street. If you need a break in between, you will always find a way to spend it with a curry sausage, a fresh coffee or a delicious piece of cake.

Always something going on
Every first Thursday of the month, the whole of Holtenau invites you to late-night shopping until 10 pm, and in August the famous White Night takes place. There are also open Sundays and carnival markets. The community among the shopkeepers is clearly noticeable: if you can't find something in a shop, the shopkeepers will be happy to give you a tip on where you might find it elsewhere.Holtenauer stands for flair and trend, for atmosphere and good gastronomy and welcomes you to indulge in the relaxed esprit of this street.

Participating shops will give you a one-time refund of 50 cents on your purchase when you present your parking ticket for an individually determined purchase value. You can of course present your ticket at several shops.
