The KiWo Party Guide
Party at Kieler Woche
Kieler Woche – that means ten days of pure mayhem! Beats, bass and high spirits everywhere – the ultimate party overload. To help you find out where the atmosphere is really buzzing, we’ll show you the hottest spots for legendary nights out at KiWo.
SANDHAFEN
The Sandhafen in Kiel is a real hotspot during Kieler Woche, and here’s what makes it special: it’s often open longer than Kieler Woche itself! Whilst the main stages are closing down, the party carries on at Germany’s only floating beach bar. Live DJs from the region play well into the night. With its relaxed atmosphere, the Sandhafen is the perfect place to prolong that Kiel Week feeling. So if you’ve still got energy left after the official end, this is the place to round off your evening.

Together Kiel
Over 10 days, around 50 DJs will be treating you to a diverse mix of techno, trance and tech-house. The focus is clearly on the subculture – far removed from the mainstream, Together Kiel is making a statement in support of musical diversity and alternative club culture.

DJ Gary at the Old Market
DJ Gary has been bringing generations together for over 40 years. The cult DJ is also a fixture at Kieler Woche. For many years, he has been curating the stage programme at the Alter Markt, turning the stage into a real meeting place for young and old alike. With his mix of music, hosting and plenty of good cheer, he not only creates a party atmosphere in the evenings but also provides the soundtrack for the colourful afternoon programme.

Silent Dome

Everyone is dancing out of sync, and there’s no music to be heard. To outsiders, this scene seems a bit bizarre, but it’s great fun: the silent disco in the castle gardens. Here, all visitors are given headphones and can choose between three channels playing music from the DJs on the decks. A party that proves you don’t need it to be loud to have a proper good time.
For fans of: all genres of music

In the evenings, fantastic concerts, karaoke and DJ sets create a lively atmosphere in a relaxed setting. What makes it special: as well as the partying, there are also exciting workshops during the day, such as self-defence for FLINTA* people, plus creative activities like printing on milk cartons or making crafts from marine litter.
