The Ocean Live Park is the name of the event site for The Ocean Race Europe in Kiel. The Ocean Live Park stretches along the keel line, similar to The Ocean Race Fly-By 2023.
A varied and exciting land, water and stage programme for the whole family awaits you in the Ocean Live Park during the Ocean Race Europe. You have the opportunity to experience sailing at close quarters directly on Kiel's inner fjord. In addition to spectacular sprint and show races, you can marvel at the Imocas and sailing teams at close quarters and be amazed by the impressive technology of the high-performance yachts.
If you want to get active yourself, there are free sailing taster sessions and other offers where you can try out various disciplines such as stand-up paddling. In addition, boats of various sizes (not the Imocas) offer "Open Ship" programmes.
In addition to the sporting experiences, there will be fascinating films and documentaries in the 360° tent dome "Ocean Dome", which will provide exciting insights into the world of sailing and marine conservation. Numerous exhibitors will be presenting products and information on all aspects of sailing, marine conservation and the maritime industry.
Culinary delights will not be neglected either: from small snacks to regional specialities, there will be a variety of food stands offering something for every taste. A varied programme for young and old awaits you on the stage in Ocean Live Park - with interview formats, presentations and live music.
And best of all, many of the activities in the Ocean Live Park are free of charge, making the visit an unforgettable experience for everyone. The Ocean Live Park in Kiel is the perfect place to enjoy the Ocean Race to the full and learn more about the fascinating sport of sailing and the protection of our oceans.
In principle, access to the Ocean Race Europe event site, the Ocean Live Park, will be free of charge and possible without registration. The attractions within the site can also be experienced free of charge, although there may be a waiting time.
The Ocean Live Park is open every day from Wednesday, 06.08. to Sunday, 10.08.2025 during the day until the evening hours. The exact opening hours will follow.
The Imocas are moored in the Ocean Live Park and can be viewed from land. Viewing on board is not possible.

A screen for live broadcasts will be set up in the Ocean Live Park on the Kiellinie. From the Ocean Live Park, the spectacle on the water can also be seen with your own eyes. There is also the opportunity to follow the departure of the Imocas on Sunday along the Kiel Fjord from both shores. Tip: Don't forget your binoculars!

No, only registered professional teams will be sailing. The regatta area is secured as an extensive restricted area.
If you would like to experience the Imocas from the water in your own boat, there are demarcated areas during the races where you are allowed to stay by boat. The regatta area is cordoned off over a wide area and monitored by numerous patrol boats.

With your own sailing or motor boat you can, subject to availability, moor in the Marinas in the city of Kiel on the quay line. Mooring elsewhere is not permitted.
Ocean Live Park is located in the centre of Kiel, directly on the Kiellinie. The distance from the main railway station is 2.0 km and can be easily covered on foot.
Alternatively, bus lines 43/51 of the KVG (Reventloubrücke stop) and 41/42 (Landtag stop) stop in the immediate vicinity of Ocean Live Park. In addition, the "Reventloubrücke" ferry landing stage is located directly at the event site. The ferry boats on lines F1 and F2 of the SFK dock there, providing a short connection between the east and west banks.
There are only limited parking facilities in the vicinity of the event site. You can easily park your car in multi-storey car parks and car parks in the city centre, from where you can continue to the event on foot, by bus or by bike. If you are travelling by bike, you will find parking facilities directly at the Landtag in front of the event site. There you can also hire bicycles from the Sprat fleet bicycles.
