The Stadtwerke Ice Festival at the Germaniahafen harbour is a permanent fixture in Kiel and provides winter fun during the eight-week season. The fully covered ice rink offers a wide range of activities including ice skating, skate hire, curling on synthetic rinks, company and Christmas parties and children's birthday parties.

Thetime has come on 19 November: the popular ice rink in Kiel opens its doors and cordially invites you to the opening ceremony of the Stadtwerke Ice Festival! An atmospheric evening full of winter highlights awaits you from 5 to 8 pm. The EisDISCO powered by Casino Kiel will provide the perfect sound on the ice with DJ NIKKI, while Maschine will guide you through the programme with his captivating presentation.
Best of all, ice skating is free of charge - just come along and glide away! If you don't have your own skates, you can hire some on site for just €5 for the whole evening. And you'll even be doing something good: the ice rink operator interevent will donate all the proceeds from the skate hire to the NDR charity "Hand in Hand für Norddeutschland".
In addition to ice skating, you can also enjoy discounted snacks and drinks from the Kajüte - operated by Event Catering Kiel, which will take care of your physical well-being.
So grab your skates, bring your friends and experience an unforgettable evening on the ice together - with music, exercise and a contribution to a good cause!
There are now exclusive skating times for children and young people so that everyone can skate their laps in a relaxed atmosphere. During this time, the ice rink is open exclusively for the respective target group (plus a maximum of one accompanying adult).

On 05 January 2026 from 14:00 to 16:00, there will be an ice DISCO with DJ Ronny especially for the little guests at the end of the Christmas holidays! All dancing mice aged 3 to 12 can let off steam on the ice rink.
Event Catering Kiel will provide you with delicious snacks and drinks in the "Kajüte" on site. There is also a special catering offer for your Christmas party. All leftover food will be donated to the Kieler Tafel!
The Stadtwerke Kiel MASTERS marks the traditional end of the season. This year, the major curling tournament on plastic lanes will take place from 8 to 16 January, starting at 19:30.
A total of 100 teams will compete for the coveted challenge cup!

All of our partners are working hard to save energy. This is achieved, among other things, by using state-of-the-art cooling technology and the use of plastic tracks for curling that can be used for several years.

There are plenty of paid parking spaces directly at the Germaniahafen. Alternatively, you can park in the multi-storey car park at the ZOB and in the multi-storey car park at the Cap. From there, the ice rink can be reached on foot in just 10 minutes.
Bicycle racks are available. You can also take advantage of the SprottenFlotte service. The first 30 minutes are free of charge.
