The Stadtwerke Ice Festival is a permanent fixture in Kiel and provides winter fun during the eight-week season. The fully covered ice rink offers a wide range of activities including ice skating, skate hire, curling on synthetic rinks, team building, company and Christmas parties and children's birthday parties. This year, the ice rink will be located at the Germaniahafen in Kiel for the first time, with a direct view of the Kiel Fjord.

Of course you can use your own skates. In this case, you only have to pay the entrance fee, there is no rental fee.

The ice rink is less than 10 minutes' walk from the main railway station. Simply cross the Hörnbrücke bridge.
There are plenty of paid parking spaces directly at the Germaniahafen. Alternatively, you can park in the parking garage at the ZOB and in the parking garage at the Cap, from there it is only a 10-minute walk to the ice festival.
Yes, there are plenty of bicycle stands on the premises. You are also welcome to use the SprottenFlotte service.
Cancellation is possible free of charge up to 14 calendar days before the booked date in writing via Kiel-Marketing e.V.. After this period, the full costs must be paid in the event of cancellation. Except in cases of "force majeure" and official orders.
The opening ceremony will take place on November 13 from 5 pm. The show will feature "Holiday on Ice" and DJ NIKKI. The show will be hosted by the well-known presenter "Maschine".
Yes, access is barrier-free. A wheelchair-accessible WC is available.
The Stadtwerke Kiel Masters is a fun tournament in which groups of 4 compete against each other in curling on plastic lanes. You can register online as a team of private individuals or colleagues. Dates from the preliminary round to the final are from 02.01. - 10.01.2025. We recommend heelless shoes and winter clothing. On each preliminary round evening, a prize awaits the team with the best costume. So raid your dressing-up box and get creative!
How to practise with your team for the MASTERS:
There are 5 bookable plastic lanes where groups of up to 8 people can play curling every day. The MASTERS will also take place on these lanes in January. We recommend that ambitious teams book a lane in advance in November or December and practice as a team.
For stick shooting on plastic rinks, we recommend shoes without heels, no ice skates are required.
Ice skates are required on the ice rink, and we recommend a helmet for children. Both are also available for hire on site.
The VIP pagodas are heated, the area with the ice surface and the synthetic rinks are not. Depending on the weather, we generally recommend winter clothing.
There is a selection of snacks. Also soft drinks, hot drinks and alcoholic beverages.
We generally ask you not to bring any food or drinks with you, as we have a wide range of food on site. There is also a vegan/vegetarian selection. Soft drinks, hot drinks and alcoholic drinks are also available.
For children's birthday parties, one birthday cake per group may be brought along.
You can celebrate an unforgettable birthday at the Ice Festival! You can book a birthday table, with snack packages and ice skating or curling. You are welcome to bring a birthday cake, please remember to bring your own crockery and napkins. However, we ask you not to bring any other food or drinks.

Monday to Friday: 2 - 5 pm.
Saturday, Sunday and every vacation: 11 am - 2 pm or 2 - 5 pm.
The basic "Snow Bunny" package includes use of the ice rink, ice skates for all participants, a stay in the event pagoda as well as a drink and a portion of chips or a crêpe per child.
When booking the "Allrounder" package, the children can also try out a lesson of curling on plastic rinks. The special sticks for children make them easy to handle.
The VIP pagodas are available for corporate events from Monday to Saturday from 6 pm to 10 pm. They can be booked for 40 or 80 people. On request with curling, ice skating and catering by our on-site caterer: Event-Catering Kiel.
Changing DJs lure you to the ice rink with the best beats - whether current charts or theme discos, you can look forward to the disco evenings on the ice rink!
This year, Event Catering Kiel will provide you with delicious snacks and drinks. View the special menu for catering for your company and Christmas party from 10.09. here. There will also be a great offer for school classes and children's birthday parties. All leftover food will be donated to the Kieler Tafel!
HOLIDAY ON ICE thrills with the brand new show HORIZONS. Experience breathtaking figure skating and spectacular stunts on and above the ice. The show takes place parallel to the ice festival in the Wunderino Arena.
