The sand harbour in Kiel is a real hotspot during Kieler Woche and what makes it so special: It is often open longer than the KiWo itself! While the big stages close, the party continues in Germany's only floating beach bar. Live DJs from the region sometimes play late into the night. DJ Gary has been bringing generations together for over 40 years. The cult DJ is also a permanent fixture at Kieler Woche. He has been organising the stage programme at the old market for many years and turns the stage into a real meeting place for young and old. With his mix of music, moderation and lots of good humour, he not only creates a party atmosphere in the evening, but also accompanies the colourful afternoon programme.

📍O ld Market

Everyone dances unevenly to the beat and no music can be heard. This scene may seem a little bizarre to outsiders, but it's great fun: the silent disco in the castle gardens. Here, all visitors are given headphones and can choose between three channels on which to listen to the music of the DJs playing. A party that shows that it doesn't have to be loud to be really fun.

If you really want to party during Kiel Week, the Muddi Markt on Lorentzendamm is the place to be. In the evenings, great concerts, karaoke and DJ sets ensure a relaxed atmosphere.
