More than 30 nations have been presenting themselves here for over 40 years, offering a variety of smells, flavours and impressions. The really nice thing about it: the Rathausplatz is not just a place to eat and drink, but also a meeting place for cultural exchange and encounters. Well worth a visit!

The SEIKO Prospex OCEAN Funpark is the action-packed place to be right in the centre of the city - at the boat harbour to be precise. If you stop off here, you can party, relax and try out the latest trend sports on the water. How about a round of flyboarding, for example? Breathtaking shows and competitions provide additional excitement. In addition to the sporting activities on offer, there is also a wide range of culinary delights.

Free concerts

Konzert auf der Fördebühne

Going to concerts can usually be really expensive fun - but not at Kieler Woche! In 2025, the stage programme will once again offer a colourful selection of free concerts that will attract music fans from all genres. On the Rathausbühne stage, the Prinzen will provide a great atmosphere with hits such as "Alles nur geklaut", "Küssen verboten" and "Millionär", on the R.SH-Fördebühne stage Michael Schulte will delight with his soulful voice and there will be other great acts too!

Here, puppeteers create magical moments with their performances - for kids and adults alike. The varied programme offers a mixture of classic fairy tales and modern productions, accompanied by concerts by small ensembles from the Kiel Philharmonic Orchestra. In the evenings, the park is transformed into a stage for jazz music, dance and comedy. Get there!

And for those who find the huge balloons impressive but prefer to stay on the ground, we recommend the spectacular Night Glows, where the balloons light up in all colours and transform the sky into a sparkling sea of lights to music. This year, the Night Glow will take place on 20 (Friday), 21 (Saturday), 25 (Wednesday), 27 (Friday) and 28 June (Saturday) at 22:30.

The maritime highlight of Kiel Week is the impressive windjammer sailing parade. Around 130 fascinating traditional and steam ships as well as numerous private boats make the Kiel Fjord shine. This maritime spectacle is wonderful to watch from the shore - but if you want to experience it all on the water, you have the opportunity to sail on many different ships.

The play line on the Krusenkoppel is the Kiwo highlight for children every year. A huge, open creative area where they can build, paint, muddle and play to their heart's content. This year, imaginative worlds with dragons, elves, unicorns and sea monsters will be created under the motto "Fabulous mythical creatures". From Saturday and Sunday from 11 am to 6 pm, and during the week from 2 pm to 6 pm, kids can create their own magical creatures with wood, clay, paint and wool. In addition to workshops and painting activities, there will also be fairy tales and children's concerts. Admission is free!
