Kiel has been internationally established as a sailing city for decades and has already hosted two Olympic sailing competitions. The city has extensive experience with major events.
The focus is on sailing competitions, supplemented by other sports. The existing expertise, infrastructure and international networking make Kiel a suitable location within a joint German bid.
